Wellbeing

At Elm Tree Primary Academy, all staff have a responsibility to promote positive wellbeing within our setting for all our children, staff and families.

At times additional support may be required, outside of school, we have put together below a list of agencies and their website links full of lots of useful advice. 

Sandwell Family Information Service –  a directory which includes childcare, services, activities and information to support families. We also include information, advice and guidance for childcare providers and early years practitioners. Search for services available locally and nationally. If you cannot find what you are looking for, get in touch and we will be happy to help.

 

SEND Local Offer –  our vision for children and young people in Sandwell with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) is that they will be able to achieve their aspiration for a healthy ordinary life through meaningful employment and fulfilling relationships within the community of their choosing.

Sandwell Young Carers – Sandwell Young Carers provides guidance and support to children and young people (aged 5-18) whose health, education and social lives have been affected as a result of caring for a dependent family member.

Autism West Midlands – specialist support provider in the West Midlands. We use our passion and expertise to enrich the lives of autistic  people and those who care for them.

Wednesbury Family Hub – local support centres for families.

CEREBRA – Provides a sleep advice service.

ERIC – A charity dedicated to helping improving children’s bowel and bladder health.

SPDC – Sandwell Parents for Disabled Children – They seek to ensure that all disabled children and their families have access to a range of positive play and leisure opportunities enabling them to be safe, healthy and happy.

Young Minds – Well being support for children, young people and their families.

Action for Children – provide practical emotional care and support and ensure children’s voices are heard.

MIND – Provides information and support for families who are living with someone with a mental health issue.

Place2be – a children and young person’s charity providing mental health support and resources to schools and families.

Mental Health Foundation – a charity whose mission is to “help people to thrive through understanding, protecting and sustaining their mental health.”

Mind Ed for Families – A learning resource for families regarding the mental health of children, young people and adults.
